Newly redone, beautiful bathroom, wifi, shared patio overlooking the old town and Adriatic, can't beat the price!
The stairs are quite a schlep
No parking place. Our car was scratched. Very noisy, no beach and no see view
Miho was an excellent host he picked us up from the bus station, carried our bags & even orgnaized a taxi for us when we were leaving. Villa Ragusa is beautifully decorated & clean, it is an excellant location to the old town.. 10 min walk & a beach even closer. Would definetly recommend staying here.
Villa Ragusa, Ploce (there seem to be 2 Villa Ragusas with 2 different owners in Dubrovnik), was well located a 15-minute walk from the Ploce Gate to the old city, although you have to be prepared to tackle 117 stairs to get to it. Our room was well equipped, large and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom and very comfortable king-size bed. The rooms shared a large terrace (up another flight of stairs), with a beautiful view of the old port and city walls. Best of all was our host, Miho - he was most hospitable, exceedingly helpful, very accommodating and personable. We can't say enough good things about him.
Our room, while large and comfortable had very little natural light.
I loved everything. The view was absolutely beautiful. The apartment has just recently been redone - so everything was just beautiful - from the kitchen and living room, to the bedroom, to the shower and facilities. And Miho - who runs the apartment - was just fabulous and so kind and helpful. I absolutely loved this entire experience.
Spent three nights at Villa Ragusa during our holiday in Croatia -- a very spacious brand new renovation of an apartment in the old city of Dubrovnik just outside the old city walls (10 minute walk). Location was excellent. The apartment is large and fully equipped with very nice finishes -- the views over the City are beautiful. Parking is available close by which is a rarity for this part of Dubrovnik. What really made the stay though was the family/management of the property - extremely helpful in everything related to Dubrovnik, our stay and Croatia in general - a pleasure to deal with in every regard. I travel extensively for business and pleasure and would stay with these owners at any property they are associated with!
This appartmet is simply perfcet. Great location, excelent treat from the owners and amazing views over Dubrovnik. No better place to stay in Dubrovnik by your own.
We live in an apartment in Alberta Hallera Stree. It is in Hotel R. The location is good, about 20 minutes on walk to the old town of Dubrovnik. The staffs of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The facilities of the hotel is somehow not very new but it is cleaned everyday. Having breakfast on the terasse with sea view is very nice.
The hotel is facing the street. It is a little bit loud at night. But it is not a big deal.
The rooms, which were new, were very well-designed and a nice size so we were pleasantly surprised as there were no reviews when we originally booked. The bathroom was also very nice - extra towels and soap were supplied; the small fridge in the room was wonderful to have. Miho was very accommodating and picked us up from the bus station when we arrived. It was very quiet and a nice walk to the old part of town, even though there are a lot of stairs. I would definitely recommend Villa Ragusa!
There wasn't anything we didn't like. If someone had trouble with stairs, it could be a problem but we liked the exercise!
Villa Ragusa is the ideal place to stay in while at Dubrovnik. The fantastic view over see and old city, the most beautiful and so comfortable rooms, the closeness to the beach and the old city - all unite to one great pleasure which is worth even the efort of some hundred steps to the main road. But, most of all, it was the unbelievable service that we got from Miho Resetar, the hotel manager, and his father, who assisted us in an incredible manner of helpfulness, efficiency and extraordinary good will. Miho is an angel, who would do for you everything, even when it is not for the benefit of his hotel. I thus allheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Villa Ragusa.
The family that run this Villa were extremely helpful. They provided us with all the touches you would expect from a five star hotel - plenty of towels, mini bar with welcome drinks, satellite tv, and free wifi. They even taxied us to the airport at a discount rate. The room and bathroom had recently been refurbished, to a very high standard, so it was like staying in a brand new hotel.
Given that its recently been refurbished, I would have chosen different decor myself, but I guess that's my personal preference. The bathroom however, was very modern and stylish. I would have liked it if they offered to pay by credit card also. These are only two minor gripes on an otherwise perfect stay.
Beautiful views, Miho served as excellent host and villakeeper. He assisted us with our luggage and offered rides at a reasonable price to/from airport. Very knowledgeable about Dubrovnik.
The people who ran the Villa are so nice people, we arrived very late and they picked us up from the bus station and then dropped us off there when we left. The room was very nice with good a/c and tv reception there is a very nice view of the old town from the terrace. The location is great just a short walk to the beach and old town.
The only thing you need to be aware of is that their is quite few stairs up to the apartment but it was worth it for the view and people that ran the villa carried the bags.
We were one of the first guests at Villa Ragusa and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are new and fresh, we even got fresh towels in de middle of our stay. Also there is a lovely terrace with a view on the city and the sea. Villa Ragusa is situated very close to the city beach and the old town itself, so you can walk into town to have (great) food. The owner Miho is very kind and service minded. We definitely recccommend this place!
Before you reach the hotel there are 100+ steps to climb ... No problem for us, but maybe not suitable for people who have difficulties walking stairs. The rooms are also a bit noisy, we could hear our neighbours at several times.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. He picked us up from the airport and dropped us at the ferry terminal and was on time for everything. The room was also in an excellent location.
